For individuals
Although the thrust of this project is spiritual conversation in groups, the stimulus material we are providing, of itself, invites personal reflection. So even if not yet part of a group we hope that individuals will still benefit from receiving conversation packs. You may also wish to join our mailing list and receive news of future titles.
For small groups
All kinds of small groups can participate in the ‘Shoreline Conversations’ project. Simply choose from the list of available conversation packs or sign up to receive news of future titles. To develop a greater understanding of the conversational methodology we are adopting, group members may wish to request a copy of ‘Breathing Spaces’ from our list of publications, or request facilitator training for one or two members of your group.
For communities or congregations
Embracing this sort of activity as a whole community has great benefits to local churches, particularly those with strong ecumenical partnerships. If your local churches or community might be interested in participating in this project, by becoming a ‘Christian Community in Conversation’, simply contact a member of the team and we will clarify what this involves. Suffice to say that it will include a mixture of training and resourcing appropriate to context.
One way of beginning the whole process is to undertake, ‘The Micah Conversation’ – a 6-8 week pastoral development process designed to help Christian communities discern the future of their expression of local Church. In preparation, Shoreline Conversations’ offers a two-day workshop for small group facilitators to enhance local ownership and involvement.
As partners
Christian churches, associations, interest groups and communities have the opportunity to request the creation of a conversation series appropriate to their membership – but of wider general interest. The idea is that they would sponsor and contribute to the production of a pack, for which they will receive both acknowledgement and a certain number of copies. For more information or to register your interest, please send us a message on the form provided.
As sponsors
Shoreline Conversations is a not-for-profit organization, which hopes to support the creation of a ‘culture of conversation’ both within Christian churches, organisations and communities and beyond in wider society. In order to make a significant contribution to these we are seeking partners who will both collaborate with us and contribute to the funding of this 3-5 year project. For more information or to register your interest, please send us a message on the form provided.
